Northshore WAYFINDING and
PLACEMAKING Projects
LD DESIGN STUDIO HAS PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN SHAPING NORTHSHORE THROUGH PLACEMAKING, ACTIVE TRAVEL STRATEGIES, STREET TYPOLOGIES, AND URBAN DESIGN ADVICE FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT QUEENSLAND.
The studio prepared Active Transport Street Typologies and a PDA-wide wayfinding strategy, including detailed signage designs taken through to tender and delivery. This included designing and detailing identity signage for EDQ-owned buildings, public realm sites, and waterfront areas, along with vehicle wayfinding signage, pedestrian wayfinding signage, new wayfinding landmarks and a signage guide.
The studio has collaborated with other consultants to create the Northshore Traffic and Access Management Plan and Northshore Active Transport Strategy. The studio also provided mapping, visualisations, site plans, billboard designs and graphic design to support EDQ’s planning, engagement and marketing initiatives.
