Proving the case for pop up cycle tracks in Brisbane CBD

LD DESIGN STUDIO WAS ENGAGED BY BICYCLE QUEENSLAND TO DEVELOP ARTIST IMPRESSIONS AND DESIGN MATERIALS FOR TWO CBD STREETS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

In 2020, Bicycle Queensland proposed temporary pop-up separated cycle tracks to local and state governments as a safe way to support walking and cycling in Brisbane’s CBD. LD Design Studio researched world best practice, prepared site analysis, technical drawings, concept plans, and street typology cross-sections, and created a suite of illustrations and proposed street views to clearly communicate the vision.
